Ethical study approval
Every year the nutritionDay team submits the study protocol for approval to the Ethical Committee of the Medical University of Vienna.
The study approval is published here in the nDay website.
Several countries, expecially in Europe, might use the ethical study approval provided by the Medical University of Vienna to run the audit in their own country. Some countries although might be required to submit an ethical protocol to a local ethical committee.
We encourage participants to verify local ethics requirements much in advance to ensure compliance with them.
An informative sheet provides patients an audit description, informes about data anonymity and further data processing.
A written or oral consent can be collected by the healthcare professional/unit staff who conducts the nDay audit in that center.
